Yay, this is my biggest product until now. Around 10 years ago I got all fired up after finding a really nice way to create fire effects in photoshop, and now I have my own little smoke and fire toolkit for sale.

**== Fire Effect with Gimp ==**
If you want a fire effect with Gimp you can do the following:

1. Create a layer filled with black and use the smoke brush on it
2. Open the Gradients (Windows Dockable Dialogs Gradients)
3. Choose the flame-ish gradient "Incandescent"
4. While the layer with the smoke brush on it is selected, use "Colors Map Gradient Map"
