This set of 8 vintage graphics includes 4 dog illustrations in color, and 4 in black and white. The breeds included (according to the captions that went with the original images) are Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, English Pointer, Foxhound, Manchester Terrier + Doberman, Norfolk Terrier, Russian Hound, Saint Bernards, and Welsh Terrier. It is likely that these dogs like different from modern versions of their breeds either due to changes in the breed, or the original captions being over-generalizations. For example, the Welsh Terrier may not refer to the modern breed, but just to a terrier owned by a Welsh person.
These images were carefully extracted from public domain sources and beautifully restored so as to be useful in a variety of projects!
