In Japan people like insects. Not eating them*, but studying them since elementary school.
During summer vacation young boys usually go into woods to find beetles and cicadas.
I like them for a different reason: I found drawing them challenging.
As their shape and their proportion are various, sketching and drawing them is an interesting activity from a designer perspective.
So I took some time to draw and vectorize a few of them. I hope you can enjoy these small illustrations!
As a bonus, I made an earthworm pattern brush for Illustrator, in case you need more organic curves.
