Sometimes the inspiration for my typefaces comes from the strangest places, and this is the perfect example of that. I had purchased a collection of correspondence letters to a woman named Roberta, regarding shutters and blinds in Gloversville. The unique style of lettering that blended capitals and lowercase in a flat nib marker caught my eye instantly. Such an odd lettering style for the early 1900's. It was fun experimenting with mixed forms for the lowercase until I came across the combination that felt most appropriate. I hope you'll have as much fun using the font as I had creating it.
