Ahoy all you texture junkies! Here's a bundle of 10 hi-res painted backgrounds for your next project!
These aren't your average backgrounds. After channeling the spirit of Bob Ross, each file was carefully created with a variety of media on cardboard, paper, canvas and other surfaces. Distressing, color washes and other techniques followed to give each piece rich textures and a unique appearance. I spent far too long with a hairdryer on some pieces waiting for them to dry in fact.
While these are perfect as standalone backgrounds they work even better combined with each other for increased effect.
Layer them, manipulate them, print them, cut them out, glue them, re-scan them again and you've got intricate backgrounds for your digital paintings, illustrations, concept art and design work.
